I'm thinking of having solar panels installed,
does anyone already have them and can they recommend an installer?

Re: Solar panels
Hi Wraith.
I have solar panels and can fully recommend them. Company who fitted them are no longer in business, so would suggest you go looking for good reviews and do your research.
Bear in mind that you need a lot of them to make a difference to your energy bills. Minimum of 12 but ideally 16+ if you have the space.

are no longer in business. I have managed to find someone who works for himself and is fully qualified
all the necessary paper work etc, quoted me 10k for 12 panels and a 10kw (2 x 5 kw) battery storage.
I will do a bit more research before taking the plunge.

Re: Solar panels
Ok had the work done by a local company:

From first contact Mark was very informative and transparent with all costs. Had solar panels, batteries etc fitted by mark. Once the work was started it was all done in 48 hours.
I would highly recommend this company for any electrical work.

Re: Solar panels
Hope they make a real difference for you. You’ll get a lot more out of them in the summer, obviously, so be patient.
If you can afford, I’d also recommend an air source heat pump. A lot to layout but we’ll worth it.
