Hull and East Yorkshire both in the medium tier. No changes. Carry on as you were folks

Re: Local lockdown
Probably only a matter of time before we move up considering all of south and west yorkshire are in the high rating.

Re: Local lockdown
The revolt by the MPs stopped much harsher measures from being implemented.

Re: Local lockdown
Noted yesterday even Boris questioned a vaccine being possible soon saying Sars had been with us 18 years and still no vaccine.
This is something we will probably have to live with for a long time. Eventually things will have to change . Imagine 2021 being a repeat of this year. When will people get back to watching live sport events etc. The economy is already shafted, the future looks pretty bleak for years to come. The people that have benefited are the super rich.

Re: Local lockdown
So far as I can see apart from closing pubs and legitimate services with "physical contac"t in Liverpool virtually nothing has changed. Widespread very harsh measures are now inevitable. Just a matter of when.

Re: Local lockdown
Reading the government website, it will change nothing for me. Unless parlours close of course. Still I wish visiting the pub was as it was until February. I don't really care for the experience any more.

Re: Local lockdown
Same here. Not been in a pub since March. As for parlours they are still open in tier 3 areas. As a note West Yorkshire goes into tier 3 from Monday. Reckon North Yorkshire will become tier 2 sooner or later.

Re: Local lockdown
What are parlours going to do during total lockdown? Obey the rules or smudge them - they're providing a "Care" service! lol

Re: Local lockdown
Hull is the 2nd highest in the country for new covid cases. Oldham is number 1. But Hull has the biggest week on week jump for any area in England. 714.5 cases per 100000. At least Hull is at the top in some things. Not looking good for a return to tier 2 after lockdown.

Re: Local lockdown
Not surprising. Too many non-essential shops and businesses are open. Too many people are out and about. Unless people start following the rules we will be in tier 2 (or even 3) on 3rd December.

Re: Local lockdown
Latest figure up to 11 November is 265 deaths so far in Hull Hospitals.
Monthly figures since July.
July 5
August 3
September 5
October 27
November to date 26
Apparently in April there were 30 deaths in 1 week.Never heard about it then, shows the NHS can cope with a large amount and not get overwhelmed despite what Boris says.
