Rude texting customers.

Forgive me for sounding petty, but i am SO SICK of gettin texts saying "what have you got". The one i got today i replied by saying "WHAT have we got? Oh, erm Pizzas, Taxi's, you name it! Unless of course, you mean WHO have we got, as in HUMAN BEINGS, in which case please say so".
sorry but thes gys are assholes and quite frankly if thats how they text, wat kind of nightmare will the girl endure havin to spend an hour in his company?!

Oh god yeah, i am used to them by now but they never fail to f*k me off.
AS for the £10 guy, "a thin crust margherita will be about your lot! Do you want the number of your nearest takeaway?!

I can imagine some of the texts you get. Would be a very interesting read to publish them. Personally, I prefer to use e-mail and make arrangements. Far easier.

the title is "how do you kill a vampire" (the reason for that is cause it was one of the bloody texts i use to get )

woah slow down Cully! I come from a family of authors and have had encouragement from many authors to take up writing.......any book i write is mine! Tho gratuities and credits will be given to those whose inputs enhance the book, of course!x

Hmmm...seems we have a lot of talent on the forum. And no Teepee i'm not referring to your stardust idea.

?) rather than because the texter is thoughtless? I imagine the best solution is to reply in kind eg 'visit website' or 'call me' ? But yes, most of them are probably going to be a pain ... as for 'what can I get for £10', surely some girls will be happy to give 10 hard kicks and stabs with stilettos for £10

You are dead right Lord luken...i have seen and heard and done far too much for my years! Ctr...ghostwriter...as in, i tell it you do the handwriting/typing? Sounds good to me...!
seriuosly tho, every year i buy the bloody writers and artists yearboook and everyear it gets binnned for the next years purchase.As i say, i have published authors in my family but all agents specialise in select genres and mine aint victorian romance or factual astronomy/ physics! Anyone got any advice, as in, got any contacts with agents covering modern fiction or autobiographical work?

From my own research Chrys, I think you may be better off writing up what you want to write and submitting it directly to the publishers... most of the stuff submitted via agents seems to go directly into the slushpile anyway, unless you've got a good one with good contacts.

Write it, submit it, and keep submitting it until someone likes it.

It ain't easy, but it seems the only way to get anywhere in getting published is with good copy, regardless of agents or whatever.

Or self-publish on lulu.com?

i think some are just plain lazy and can,t be bothered with the manners, i still have a picture text off one guy asking do you want to suck this, needless to say he didn,t get a reply, but how much of a co*k would he look if i posted the pic and his number on a forum,, hey i know that number thats my hubby

This normally throws them completely,as they expect abuse or anger.

Much the same as when a flasher approached me on spring bank one morning at about 5.30am. It was just gettin light....He done his "part" from across the road, awaiting my reaction. I crossed over and said to him that it didnt bother me none, but some ladies would be really embarassed, upset, and older ladies may be afraid, etc etc. I explained to him that people just didnt need it! I asked if he had tried gettin his kicks in a less offensive way. Eventually he apologised and wandered off with his raincoat tightly wrapped up, pecker put away, and tail (ahem) between his legs.

in a way i allso use reverse psychology as well , it works great some times whan someone is trying to be nasty and you are really nice,
